1. Platform Purpose
BatiCheck is a digital tool for inspections, defect tracking, collaboration, and reporting. It does not replace site safety procedures, PPE requirements, method statements, or legal obligations on a construction project.
Always follow your organization’s health and safety rules and the instructions of the site manager or safety officer.
2. Before Using Devices on Site
Mobile devices and tablets can create distraction hazards. Prepare your inspection workflow before entering active work areas whenever possible.
- Wear the required personal protective equipment at all times
- Check that your device is charged and ready before entering the site
- Do not walk while typing, photographing, or reading the screen in active zones
- Stay aware of moving equipment, openings, scaffolding, and overhead work
- Follow site access rules for phones, cameras, and electronic devices
3. During Inspections
Digital recording must never take priority over personal safety or the safety of others on site.
- Stop work around unsafe conditions and report them through the proper site channels
- Do not enter restricted, incomplete, or unstable areas solely to capture a photo or record a defect
- Ask for accompaniment when inspecting high-risk zones that require authorization
- Capture photos from a safe position; do not climb, lean, or remove barriers for a better angle
- If internet connectivity is poor, use offline mode rather than moving into unsafe areas to find a signal
4. Photos, Evidence, and Sensitive Areas
Photos and notes in BatiCheck may include operational details. Handle them professionally and in line with project confidentiality rules.
- Avoid capturing faces of workers or visitors unless required and authorized
- Do not photograph security-sensitive areas unless your role explicitly requires it
- Ensure images and comments remain factual, clear, and relevant to the inspection
- Respect privacy and data-protection rules when sharing reports with stakeholders
5. Defect Reporting and Escalation
BatiCheck helps track quality issues, but urgent safety hazards must be escalated immediately through on-site procedures, not delayed until a digital report is completed.
- Treat imminent dangers as safety incidents first, quality records second
- Inform the site supervisor or safety officer without delay
- Record the issue in BatiCheck after the immediate risk has been controlled, when safe to do so
- Assign clear ownership, priority, and deadlines for corrective actions
6. Team Collaboration
Good digital collaboration reduces confusion, but responsibility for safe execution remains with the people on site.
- Use accurate locations, disciplines, and descriptions so teams can act without guesswork
- Do not assume an issue is resolved because its digital status changed — verify on site
- Keep communication professional and actionable inside the platform
- Ensure contractors and inspectors understand their assigned corrective actions
7. Account and Access Hygiene
Secure access helps protect project information and prevents unauthorized changes to inspection records.
- Do not share login credentials
- Log out from shared devices after use
- Report lost or stolen devices that contain offline inspection data
- Request role changes promptly when a team member leaves a project
